What is 3D scanning?
3D scanning and modelling is the digital representation of a real-world object. It is widely used to collect and analyze data on real-world objects or environment.
Point clouds produced by 3D scanners and 3D imaging can be used directly for measurements and visualization.
3D scanning allows us to rapidly collect data, shorten project cycles and increase manufacturing efficiency.
Some of the applications of 3D scanning includes:
- Asset and Facilities Management
- Site and Space Management
- Building and Construction
- Dimensional and comparative analysis
- Forensic Science
- Archival Purpose
- Reverse Engineering
Our Strength
GMBE has carried out full engineering work for BWTS retrofit including 3D laser scanning and the detail design engineering. Meanwhile, GMBE also provide the fabrication and installation on sea passage or drydock around the world. Also GMBE also carried out the reverse engineering, fabrication and installation on some special spool such as LT Cooling sea water spool.
